WHEN THE ICE MAKER MAKES MORE THAN ICE.

“I woke up early one morning to a really weird sound,” Mrs. Feles remembers. “I walked toward the sound and it was coming from the ice maker in our living room.” After ordering a new ice maker, Mrs. Feles removed the old one in order to prepare for replacement. “That’s when I noticed the mold,” she says. “I smelled a really strong moldy, musty smell.” She called her insurance adjustor, who recommended that she speak with us at Allied. “O.P. came out the next morning,” Mrs. Feles recalls, “which I thought was great because who works on Saturdays?” It quickly became clear that mold had spread to a large portion of the living room and required immediate action. “He went through the steps,” she says, “and after that we started the mold remediation pretty quick.” As is often the case, Mrs. Feles didn’t realize the extent of the problem.

We installed containment curtains to limit the spread of mold and got to work removing it. After completing the project, we did advanced testing to ensure levels were back to normal.

Mrs. Feles began the process with some fear about the scale of the damage. She was relieved, though, that Allied made it very easy, and even pleasant. Mold remediation is never easy, but we always do our best to be personable and conscientious. Mrs. Feles says, “I would recommend Allied to my friends and family.
